This is a new venture for me and I am slowly building the content I hope you and others will find useful.  For now, you can see a little bit more about me and how I work and please feel free to message me below.

Dublin to London to Teal

As a physiotherapist, I started my clinical and academic careers working with children and adults with neurological and learning disabilities. I moved from Dublin to London in 1998 and having held senior leadership positions in the NHS, I moved to the charitable sector in 2011. Since then, I have held Executive level operational positions in three charities, all with a focus on neurological and learning disabilities. 

As chief operating officer at the Royal Mencap Society , I oversee and support a range of activities for people with learning disabilities, including social care provision, employment and lifestyles support, children's services and retail operations. I work with a team of 7500 colleagues across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, aspiring towards the UK being the best place in the word for people with a learning disability to live happy and healthy lives. 

I became interested in the philosophies of Laloux, Dignan and The Corporate Rebels over recent years and have followed the practical application of these approaches in social care at Cornerstone and Wellbeing teams. As part of the Mencap strategy I am working on testing and implementing new dynamics at scale across social care and am undertaking my PhD with Bayes Business School with a focus on the evaluation of these changes.
